Born in Seoul, Korea and raised in Aspen, Colorado, at the age of 14, Chef Akira Back began his career as a Professional Snowboarder; gaining recognition in extreme sports and earning praise from the industry’s leading publications. After retiring from Snowboarding, he brought the same drive, speed, and spirit of adventure into the kitchen—where he earned a Michelin Star for his Dosa concept in both Seoul and London.
He has built a diverse portfolio of restaurants and lounges around the world, each dedicated to creating innovative culinary experiences paired with a vibrant social atmosphere and refined ambiance. His mission is to create unforgettable memories for guests by redefining the dining experience through distinctive dishes and gracious service.
